NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

National Board of Directors

Sigma Lambda Gamma is governed by its National Board of Directors, which consists of six elected officers, all of whom are members in good standing of the sorority. The Board of Directors serves as the policy-making body of the sorority and exercises general and final supervision over all business and affairs of the sorority.

Working together with the Executive Director and Headquarters staff, the Board lays the foundation and the vision for Headquarters to manage the day-to-day operations of Sigma Lambda Gamma and supervises the appointments of national committees.

In addition to meetings at convention and sisterhood retreat, the Board of Directors meets twice annually, and conducts business via teleconference on a regular basis.

Regional Directors

A Regional Director of Sigma Lambda Gamma is an informational resource for Sorority collegiate groups in her region. These officers ensure that Sorority entities are following national policies, procedures, regulations and assist each group to excel academically while fostering a positive, nurturing sisterhood relationship within their membership. In addition, Regional Directors serve as liaisons between University personnel and the National Board of Directors through annual campus visits. A key service provided by our Regional Directors is leadership training, primarily at regional retreats, but also on a chapter-by-chapter basis.

A Regional Director must be an alumna member in good standing and live within the region in which they oversee.
