The Education Foundation is pleased to bring additional trustees distinguished in their leadership and experience. The Foundation looks forward to aligning with the Sorority's Strategic Plan with these notable new additions.

Crystal Cavey

New Trustee*

Crystal is a lifetime Illinois resident and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s in Corporate Communications and Organizational Communications with an English minor. Crystal is a Certified Life Coach and Certified Public Speaker where she motivates and inspires women and young adults. She served in 16 state and national level organizations within the last three years. She stands for all things community and volunteerism.

Crystal is a 19-year member of SLG with a lifelong career in sales management. Crystal is a talker, writer, and presenter that loves pageantry, exercise, writing and traveling with her family. Crystal currently resides in Plano, IL with her family; husband, Billy, and children, Tori and Raymond. 

Diana Long 

New Trustee*
Phi Alpha

Diana joined SLG in spring 2001 at Penn State University where she served as chapter president and various other leadership positions. Diana continued her involvement with SLG as Colony Advisor and Mid-Atlantic Regional Director. Diana extended her business, DIOSA Nail Polish, to raise and donate funds to the Education Foundation by creating exclusive
SLG-branded products. Diana applies her business skills and experience to further the success of the Education Foundation.
Diana is an IT Project Manager at a Private Equity firm. Diana currently resides in the Bronx, NYC with her husband and daughter.

Natalia Salazar

New Trustee*


Natalia was born and raised in Chicago, IL and joined SLG at the University of Iowa in fall 2005 where she graduated with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a second degree in Digital Art Photography. Natalia served as VP of Recruitment, New
Member Educator and Chapter President and continued her involvement with SLG as an alumna. Natalia served as small group leader, presenter, and committee member for various national retreats and national conventions.
Natalia, experienced in marketing agency, social media and communications, currently resides in New York where she is part of a national marketing sales and partnerships team for the Z Living Network.

Claudia Sandoval

New Trustee*

Claudia was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.S. in Management Science and M.S. in Systems Engineering. Claudia joined SLG in the fall 2011 and continued her involvement as an alumna. Claudia served as Membership Chair and Vice President of the SLG Dallas-Fort Worth AA and served as the Intake Advisor for Pi and Rho Beta Chapter.

Claudia is a consultant for Hitachi Consulting and an inaugural fellow at the Latino Center for Leadership Development.  Claudia is also a candidate for Cockrell Hill City Council.
