Convention Dates for Delegates: Thurs., July 28 - Sun., July 31, 2016
Hotel Name and Address: Hyatt Regency DFW Airport, 2334 International Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75261
Registration Fee: $350 per delegate
Hotel Room Cost: $139/night (up to quadruple occupancy) 
Check-in: Thurs., July 28th 2 p.m. CST - 6:30 p.m. CST
Convention Opening Ceremony: Thurs., July 28 at 7:00 p.m. CST
Convention Events End: Sat., July 30, Closing Banquet tentatively ends 10:00 p.m. CST
Dress Code: Business Casual/Ritual Attire/Semi-Formal
*Banquet Only Tickets: $75 per ticket, Sat., July 30, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.


Convention and Hotel Registration opens April 1, 2016. All delegates must be registered by May 15, 2016. All payments due by June 1, 2016. Hotel rooms must be booked by June 24, 2016. Banquet only tickets are available for non-delegates at $75 per ticket, please contact Karen Hanes for ticket information and payment at 

Chapters/Alumnae Associations must be in good standing by July 1, 2016 in order to be eligible to vote at Convention. Good standing includes collegiate academic requirements, up-to-date paperwork and fees (no outstanding balances or paperwork), and regional and national compliance of policies and procedures. Below is a tentative Convention schedule.

We are pleased to announce Michelle Guobadia as this year's keynote speaker. Michelle is a 2000 initiate of the Chi Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is an outspoken advocate for Greek Life and challenges everyone around her to “TRY HARDER” and “DO BETTER.” Please help us welcome Michelle to this year’s National Convention!




SLG is excited to announce that American Heart Association (AHA) will join us at this years National Convention. We are pleased to announce Veronica Sanchez as the speaker, who will be speaking in three of our Educational Blocks on Saturday. Read more about Veronica below:
Veronica Sanchez is a mother of four and a grandmother of nine who suffered two heart attacks within a 12-hour period and underwent open-heart surgery in the Fall of 2011. She left corporate America after a 16 plus year career in Finance and Banking at JPMorgan Chase and Iberia Bank to fulfill her passion and personal mission to Educate, Equip and Empower women regarding their cardiovascular health. This was a life-changing event and wake up call for her.
She is one of the founding members of the Latina Leadership Circle and is a National Spokeswoman for the American Heart Association where she advocates on behalf of women. Veronica Sanchez is currently the Director of Health Equity at the American Heart Association covering Houston and the Greater Gulf Coast Region where she serves the community creating a culture of health.




Sigma Lambda Beta Alumni | Sigma Lambda Gamma Alumnae

Friday, July 29th @ 6 P.M | $50

National Convention 2016 along with BetaCon 2016 will have an alumni ONLY networking social and dance. As an add-on event, the cost to participate is $50, which includes activities at two locations as well as transportation. Guests will enjoy private transportation to and from all events. Shuttle bus departure from convention hotel is approximately 6:00 p.m. First stop includes Main Event for food, bowling, and laser tag. 9:00 p.m. is anticipated return to hotel with departure for salsa/bachata dancing at Maracas Restaurant in downtown Dallas at 10:00 p.m.
